Summary of work

The UKHO requires third party support from a single supplier for the provision of software development capability. The supplier will support with the delivery of individual packages of work, working alongside UKHO teams on trial projects. The supplier will need to be able to provide resource within 2/3 weeks of requests to allow for an agile approach to ways of working.

Why the work is being done

The UKHO is looking for a supplier to support with the development of trial projects. The supplier will need to be able to provide a small team (likely to be in single or paired format) within 2/3 weeks upon request to allow for a quick response and rapid start up on various small work packages.

The UKHO require software development resource to support internal teams in the following areas: - System / Process design and architecture including cloud deployment, containerised code, version control, CI/CD pipelines and API creation - Application creation including packaging of web-based or standalone (desktop) applications - Software testing with automation skills - Manipulation and translation of Geospatial data using GIS tooling such as QGIS or ArcGIS Pro - 3D modelling capability - Database creation and maintenance - Full stack development capability using tools such as Python, SQL, C#, .NET, C++, JavaScript, Angular, ASP.NET Packages of work will be defined at call-off stage.
